Animal Au Pair, York

Our client, a boarding & breeding kennels & cattery based near York in North Yorkshire are seeking an Animal Aupair/Live-In Kennel Assistant to help with the day to day running of the kennels. Responsibilities will include walking the dogs, feeding dogs & cats (and sometimes parrots), washing bedding, cleaning kennels etc. You will be expected to work approximately 25 hours per week with extra hours when owners are away from home (extra hours will mean increase in payment) but there is lots of free time aswell. Working hours are usually 8am-11am, 12.30 - 1.30pm and 7pm-8pm Salary of £60-£90 per week with living costs included (room with TV and 24 hour internet access) plus use of car if competent driver. There may also be the opportunity to work towards an Apprenticeship qualification in Animal Care. As there will be a lot of free time the candidate will need to be able to occupy his/herself with hobbies and interests.
